Women’s Suffrage and the Vote: Funding Feminism

  • William G. McGowan Theater Constitution Avenue NW NW, Washington, DC (map)

The 2020 Women’s Vote Centennial Initiative (WVCI) is an information sharing collaborative of organizations and individuals dedicated to commemorating the centennial of the 72 year fight for women to win the vote and the relevance of that struggle to issues of today.  Co-chaired by Nancy Tate, of the League of Women Voters, and Jennifer Krafchik, of the Belmont-Paul Women’s Equality National Monument, WVCI is proud to join the National Archives in sponsoring a program that focuses on the role and sources of money in the women’s suffrage fight – both in support of and in opposition to the suffrage amendment -  as well as for women in politics today.
